Xian Lim Voice As “Paddington” For PH Release

Kapamilya Actor Xian Lim lend his voice to the character of Paddington, UK’s most loved iconic bear for the Philippine release of the movie.

Xian Lim was chosen among three other Filipino actors who were considered to voice “Paddington”. He was humbled by opportunity given to him by producer David Heyman, who personally approved of Xian to be the well-loved bear’s official voice in the Philippines. According to Captive Cinema, other territories also have their own local voice talent for “Paddington”. Ben Whishaw will voice Paddington in the international release.

The film adaptation is produced by David Heyman and directed by Paul King.  Academy Award winner Nicole Kidman as Millicent, the villain taxidermist, Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, Julie Walters and Samuel Joslin.

Lim is pretty excited with his new venture as it is very rare to land in this kind of project. He said during the Press Con last January held at Plaza Ibarra that it took him only two days to finish dubbing the animated character, a feat he will never forget.

“Paddington” is based on the popular children’s character created by Michael Bond and illustrated by Peggy Fortnum, “Paddington” is a story of a young Peruvian talking bear who travels to London in search of a home.

 The film is produced by David Heyman and directed by Paul King and will be distributed by Captive Media in the Philippines. “Paddington will be shwon on the big screen nationwide on February 11, 2015
