HAIL THE QUEENS
Ms. Lani Misalucha‘s presence was saved by Ms. Pops Fernandez, the event producer and herself is a certified concert royalty. She was an early bird in the venue, has don a simple yet elegant look and an infecting smile that’s only hers. It looks like she is shunning away from the spotlight and rather stay unnoticed from one side in support of Ai. Yet she wasn’t spared by “pinoy papparazi’s” cameras around, so gamely she verbal few words to promote her latest musical venture with the Divas.

A number of questions were thrown at her, and confidently answered each and everyone with both seriousness & humour regardless of the subject’s intensity. A tabloid reporter asked: “What would the audience expect from your show”? “Buwis-Buhay” (life-taking) production numbers, she giggles in jest; – “I’ll go for opening songs as popularized by JLo”. Her death-defying dance numbers in her usual fancy wardrobes would be under the precise choreography of Hotlegs.

When asked about the thing she remembered the most about the singer she admires, she gladly recalled, “when she sang in my wedding way back 2013 in Las Vegas, and belted my favorite song “IKAW”. Had her legal issues with her erstwhile marriage be finally resolved, she wanted Lani to sing anew the very day she would exhange I do’s again w/ her youthful partner. The golden girl hasn’t seemed as jubilant and as at peace with herself as she was years ago, and it reflects on the way she deals with her personal and professional life. Her pleasing attitude towards the press and to her myriad of supporters has helped her to become among the most in-demand showbiz figure today.

“Dati rin akong patola”, a gay linggo in reference to her formerly being reactive to her social media detractors. When asked about the new President, she calmly mentioned she had given her piece countless times, and has made to agree about his national cause especially on fearless fight against drug addiction. She too updates the press about then child actor Jiro Manio’s present state at the rehab, whom she mainly fostered . Ai’s currently working too, on an indie film “Area” as an aging prostitute where she allowed herself to be deglamorized in favor of the role. The golden girl indeed is so much grateful to never ran out of good materials to work on, thus she turned out to be a channel of blessings for many who believes & stays with her through good and bad times.
