Pinoy Boyband Superstar is a Filipino reality singing competition shown on ABS-CBN. The show is hosted by Billy Crawford. The judges of the show are composed of Phenomenal Box-Office Star Vice Ganda, Pop-Rock Star Yeng Constantino, Original Heartthrob Aga Muhlach, and International K-Pop Sensation Sandara Park. The show premiered on September 10, 2016, replacing the third season of The Voice Kids.
Pinoy Band Superstar is based on the Latin-American singing competition series La Banda created by Simon Cowell and shown on Univision.The reality show aims to find new Pinoy boy bands that will bring romance and good music to television viewers.

“I’m so excited ‘La Banda’ is coming to the Philippines. You are going to love ‘Pinoy Boyband Superstar.’ Watch it exclusively on ABS-CBN,” said the British star in his video invitation to Filipinos to watch the show.
The audience will have a big part in choosing the boy bands. According to the host, performers will have to go through the all-female audience first and have at least 75% of them for approval before performing in front of the judges. Crawford also acknowledged that it would not be easy to look for new boy bands. He stated: “…it’s not all about the looks — it’s about the charm, about the performance.

Ford: Dapat nyo po akong iboto dahil makakita po kayo ng isang lalaki na masarap titigan.
Ford Valencia received an approval rating of 83% from the girls. He belts out “All Of Me” an original song by John Legend.
All judges are in unison in saying that Valencia is a good singer and judge Yeng Constantino end up on her feet!
Sandara Parks: Ang galing mong kumanta, and then yung facial expression mo parang singer ka na, parang hindi ka amatuer. parang nag training ka na sa singing chuva and mga schools, ganun. Ito ang hinahanap ko eh! pwedeng pwede ka sa boyband.
Aga Mulach: When…when you entered, wala eh! parang hindi ko makita, tapos nakikita pa kita na ninerbyos ka. Ah! Parang nagpapanic ka, but you know when you started singing, men! Parang WOW! nagulat talaga ako ron. Parang nakita ko professional. Kung ano yung nerbyos mo, kung ano yung kahinaan mo kanina. yun ang nilakas mo nung kumanta ka. At tsaka alam mo mas magaling kang kumanta sa akin!
Yeng Constantino: Noong nakapikit ako, talagang blown away ako! kasi gusto ko talagang pakinggan yung quality ng boses mo. You really did a great job. I love your voice.
Vice Ganda: Ang ganda talaga ng boses mo. May lugar ka para sa recording industry, you can be a soloist dahil sa husay ng talent. Ang tanging issue ko lang sa sarili ko ha, yung itsura mo medyo mature para don sa look ng boyband na nasa utak ko.
But judge Yeng came to defend Ford Valencia.
Yeng Constantino: Vice,… ako sobrang rerespeto kita alam mo. Pero para sa akin naman, yung talent mo, yan hindi madaling aralin… pero yung looks mo pwedeng aralin yan.
Luckily, Valencia get the nod of the three judges except Vice Ganda.
