Manix Abrera Widens His Comicverse With A 5 Year Contract Under Epik Studios & Viva Entertainment Inc.

Manix Abrera, considered as the famous “Stan Lee”, an American comic-book writer, editor, film executive producer, and publisher. Also was formerly editor-in-chief of Marvel Comics.

Abrera is best known for his comic strip Kikomachine Komix which appears in Philippine Daily Inquirer, recently signed a 5-year contract with Epik Studios & Viva Entertainment Inc. held at the Viva Office on the 6th of February.

Abrera, the two-time National Book Awardee for “14” (2015) and “News Hardcore: Hukbong Sandatahan ng Kahaggardan!” (2016) and a local cult favorite in the local book industry, proven by the long lines for his autograph during comic convention.

Back in 2005 where Kikomachine Komix was first published by Visual Print Enterprises. The strip is written and illustrated by Abrera himself and revolves around a group of state university students and that tackles about their friendship and life. In the said comics, each character and story is filled with the author’s point of views, various stories about friendship, love, and life but with a taste of existentialism.

Manuel Abrera or more commonly known as Manix, is a graduate of Fine Arts at the University of the Philippines Diliman. Abrera is known for making an impact on his readers through his stories and drawings, that are now widely known in his complied comic books, “kikimachine Komix”.

Other than being a creator of various comics, Manix Abrera also became a product endorser and has appeared on TV commercials. He is often invited as a guest speaker in different schools and recently, he hel a success ful solo exhibit at Shangri-la Hotel.

Just like most comic book creators wanting to see their work come to life, Manix Abreara is on to move forward and sealed a 5 year contract under Epik Studios & Viva Entertainment Inc.

During the contract signing at Viva office, Direk Paul Alexei Basinillo of Epik Studios shared exciting news about James Reid’s upcoming & most awaited film “Pedro Penduko”. Also, Cignal TV released Tabi Po series which is created by Epik Studios.
