The Ateneo de Manila University Junior High School Class 10 – Rodrigues is set to host HORIZON – A Fundraising Concert for Hope on April 5 at the ADMU covered court. This event is part of the Katipunan Fund Drive (KFD), a fundraising initiative aimed at supporting charitable causes such as disaster relief, Jesuit missions, and partner schools.
Headlining the benefit concert is Adie, the 24-year-old Filipino singer-songwriter known for hits like Paraluman (2021), Tahanan (2021), and Mahika (2022). Signed under Kean Cipriano’s O/C Records, Adie recently released his debut album Senaryo (2024), further cementing his status as a rising star in the OPM scene.
Joining Adie on stage is Sunkissed Lola, the Filipino rock band behind the viral hit Pasilyo (Aisle). The group consists of Dan Ombao (lead vocals, guitar), Alvin Serito (lead vocals, acoustic guitar), Laura Lacbain (lead vocals), Danj Quimson (bass guitar), Genson Viloria (drums), and Rodnie Resos (keyboards). Their fresh take on OPM has captivated many young listeners, making them one of the most sought-after bands today.
Adding to the lineup is CALISTA, a four-member girl group under Merlion Events Production. Composed of Anne, Dain, Elle, and Denise, CALISTA made their official debut on February 14, 2022, with the single Race Car, showcasing their energetic and dynamic musical style.
Reflecting the growing influence of young artists in the OPM scene, HORIZON promises a night of vibrant performances and meaningful contributions to community service.
The event is organized by key student leaders: Ryan Nicolas Jr. (CEO), Manuel Agpalasin Jr. (Operations Head), Nicolo Madlambayan (Finance Head), Enzo Lopez (Marketing Head), Ezekiel Reyes (HR Head), Clark Bayani (Main Contact Person), JM Delos Santos (Event Secretary), and Mason Hernandez (Sponsorship Head). The core parent organizers include Christy Agpalasin, Monina Bayani, Yeye Nicolas, Gling Madlambayan, Ayes Sanchez, and Mitch Delos Santos.
