Once again, Popstar Royalty and Box Office Queen Sarah Geronimo display an undeniable stellar performance in a tear-jerker and heartwarming movie “Unforgettable” from Viva Films. UNFORGETTABLE is helmed by the multi-awarded and internationally acclaimed director Jun Lana (Die Beautiful, Bwakaw) and award-winning filmmaker Perci Intalan (Bwakaw, Distance, Dementia).
Jasmine Mijandro Lagman played by Sarah Geronimo is a special young woman with incredible talent and remarkable photographic memory which enabled her to memorize anything precisely. Jasmine had been living with her Lola Olive (Multi-awarded Actress Gina Pareño) in Baguio ever since her parents passed away.
Geronimo played an unusual role in Unforgettable, her portrayal is so authentic and everyone is drawn to the nuances, simple yet brutally honest character of Jasmine.
Jasmine’s journey started when Lola Olive suffered an illness and her siblings, Dahlia and Violet (Ara Mina and Meg Imperial) decided to bring her to Manila so she will not be contracted with the decease.
She meets Happy (Milo, the Jack Russell Terrier with several viral videos) and decided to bring Happy to her grandmother believing it would help her Lola get well. She took her way off Baguio and their adventure begins.
Along her journey back home, Jasmine and Happy encounters several people who will be instrumental leading her to Lola Olive. But they are twists and turns and life lessons to learn from the encounter.
Surprisingly there are cameo guest appearances of several big stars in offbeat bit roles like Dennis Padilla, Regine Velasquez, Marco Gumabao and Anne Curtis which their character is an integral part of the story. Directors duo Jun Lana and Perci Intalan add some delightful little adventures to keep the film interesting along the way. The musical scoring and cinematography will give you the nostalgia and unknowingly you’ll end up in tears.
Sarah Geronimo is changing the Philippine Cinema per see as she proves that one good artist can survive the movie without the usual love team. A good production, perfect feel-good, tear-jerking family drama can command moviegoers to see the film.
“Unforgettable” recently held their red carpet premiere at SM Megamall and it’s jam-packed with fans and supporters of Sarah Geronimo. It was well attended by the cast and some of Viva Artists Agency talents.
Unforgettable is a joint project of Viva Films and The Idea First Company. Aside from Regine, it opens in cinemas on October 23, 2019.
