A REIMAGINATIVE PLAY TO REMEMBER
This one-of-a-kind piece as translated by Rolando Tinio is crafted for the eyes, ears, and tastes of a theater lover and is revived to praise Shakespeare’s life, commemorate his 400th year of death,  and his work’s endearing achievements left. It upholds the legacy that has been built by barely four centuries, and now back to life in a vibrant arena of CCP Complex, Huseng Batute this October  where new adventures occurred,  to be played by Tanghalang Pilipino’s theater pride.

Pangarap sa Isang Gabi ng Gitnang Tag-araw is a Filipino adaptation of A Midsummer Night’s Dream by world greatest lyricist and playwright, Sir William Shakespeare during the art-loving era of 1590 and 1597.

WHAT TO EXPECT: Between the horror and the comedy, the mix results in to a provocative staging where you can find yourself in your very own “woods,” a place filled with uncertainty, magic and wonder – anything can happen there; and when you come out of the woods, how does it change you?
